NYC fleet programs: should you join one?
The NYC Department of Finance runs fleet programs for businesses. In the Stipulated Fine Program (for companies that make deliveries) and the Commercial Abatement Program (for pick-ups and service calls), you pay many parking tickets at reduced amounts — but you give up your right to a hearing on those tickets. Enrolled companies get a weekly report of new and outstanding tickets.
Whether that's a good deal depends on your ticket mix. If many of your tickets have real defenses, fighting them can save more than the discount. We'll look at your ticket history and tell you honestly which option costs your company less.
